Where are you located?
Raven Iris Media is based in Amarillo, TX, however, travel sessions are available for an additional fee. We create professional portraits in a controlled home studio, offering a relaxed environment for natural shots and ultimate schedule flexibility, all without the fees and fuss of a large commercial space which allows our services to be more affordable!
Is your studio big enough for large groups?
Our in-home studio is a cozy, professional space perfect for portraits, newborns, and small groups (up to 5 people). For larger families or groups, we recommend booking an on-location session with Raven Iris Media at one of Amarillo's beautiful outdoor locations or inquiring about renting a local studio space!
Do you provide backdrops and props?
Absolutely! Raven Iris Media provides a variety of backdrops from holiday themed to classic single-colored backdrops (black, white, pink, and red). You are always welcome to bring additional meaningful props you would like to include. Raven Iris Media also offers prop add-ons such as artificial roses.
What is the difference between a studio session and an on-location session?
Studio sessions at Raven Iris Media offer a controlled, polished look using professional lighting (like our Godox strobe setups and softboxes) for a clean, editorial feel. On-location or outdoor sessions utilize the beautiful outdoor light for a more organic, lifestyle vibe. Both are great, it just depends on the 'story' you want to tell!
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, a non-refundable 50% retainer is required paid via Zelle, Cashapp, Venmo or your invoice link, to reserve your date and time for your session with Raven Iris Media. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.
When can I expect to have my photos back?
Raven Iris Media's standard turnaround time is 5-10 business days after your images are selected for final editing. Proof galleries are normally available within 1-2 days after the session.
What if i need to cancel or move my date?
Retainers are non-refundable as they secure your date and prevent me from booking other clients. However, I’m happy to move your retainer to a new date if you notify me at least 48 hours in advance.
What if I don't know how to pose?
No worries! That is my job, I don't expect you to be an expert at posing. We use a mix of 'poses' (structured looks) and 'prompts' (natural actions and movement) to help capture all types of vibes and personalities.
Can I send you a Pinterest board or a list of shots I want?
Absolutely! We love to see what inspires our clients! You’re welcome to share a Pinterest board so I can get a feel for the 'vibe' you love.
Can I bring guests to my session?
Of course! If having a 'hype person' helps you feel more relaxed and confident, I’m all for it. I just ask that you limit it to one guest due to the equipment and space in my studio. If your guest is also participating in the photos, please let me know ahead of time so we can ensure your package covers the additional editing time!
